The Desoto Civic Center in Southaven was one of many stops on the 2010/2011 Maze featuring Frankie Beverly Tour. This amazing concert featured musical greats Stephanie Mills, Keith Sweat, the Whispers and of course, Maze featuring Frankie Beverly.Sweat, host of the ?Sweat Hotel? radio show, was first up. Sweat displayed the sultry vocals that he?s become known for. With famous hits such as ?How Deep Is Your Love? and ?I?ll Give All My Love to You?, you can imagine the attention he had from the ladies.?Some of you are here because your parents had fun off my songs,? he said teasingly to the audience.Seasoned and stunningly gorgeous, Mills took the stage with an energy that brought the crowd to its feet. Her voice was as breathtaking as her beauty.?I look good for 53 don?t I?? Mills asked the crowd. Everyone cheered their answer. Mills performed her hits including ?Something in the Way You Make Me Feel.? She brought the house down with her classic, ?Home?, which she dedicated to her friend Michael Jackson.Vocal Group Hall of Fame member, the Whispers, showed the audience that they haven?t lost a step. Having been around since the 1960?s, the Whispers have built an astonishing repertoire of hits. They performed chart toppers such as ?In the Mood.?Maze featuring Frankie Beverly put on a performance that was nothing short of being priceless. This dynamic group has released 14 albums with nearly 30 singles making it to the U.S. R&B charts. Singing hits such as ?Southern Girl?, ?Before I Let Go? and ?Can?t Get Over You,? Maze is sure to be headliner for years to come.
