Bushkill man charged with assault, robbery

STROUDSBURG ? Police say the suspect in this crime used a towel rack, ripped of the bathroom wall in a hotel room as a weapon.� Fred Hoff Jr., of Bushkill is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and robbery following an incidient late Monday night, at the Budget Host Inn on Park Avenue in Stroudsburg.Hoff and a woman, who were staying in another room, were invited to the victim?s room at the motel.� Hoff ripped the porcelain rack off the wall, wrapped it in a towel, then struck the victim several times.� He then took $240.�Hoff was later arrested walking along Route 611.� He is in the Monroe County jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.The victim as treated at Pocono Medical Center and released
