This new trend: users changing their profile photos to pictures of cartoon characters from the 80s or 90s, has become hugely popular.According to the Huffington Post, the whole thing was started as part of a campaign against child abuse. As one user wrote:?From now until December 7, change your profile picture to a cartoon character from your childhood. The objective of this is not to see any human faces on Facebook but an invasion of memories for the fight against Violence to Children.
