Howard Stern signs new contract with Sirius XM

Howard Stern has given Sirius XM the death row pardon they've been waiting for. Stern announced Thursday that he has signed a new five year deal with the satellite radio company.Stern told his audience that he closed the deal with Mel Karmazin on Wednesday after months of tense negotiations. "I've signed a deal. ... I started to look at all the companies, Sirius included. And Sirius has been very, very anxious for me to re-sign. ... And I know deep down in my heart, I kept thinking I'd like to stay here. Because more than anything, I think what we've built hasn't been finished yet." Stern announced that as part of his new deal, the Howard Stern Show will now be available from including the iPhone.
