Las Vegas Marathon: White Rock MarathonWhile some parts of the country are covered in a blanket of snow others are hosting marathons. The Rock n? Roll� Las Vegas Marathon is an annual race that started this morning at 7 AM. The runners could take part in either the marathon or half marathon that incorporates part on the Las Vegas strip in its course. This years Las Vegas Marathon has been sponsored by Zappos.com and is put on to support the Crohn?s and Colitis Foundation of America.Moving over to the state of Texas, the White Rock Marathon is taking place today in Dallas. This year marks the 41st running of the Metro PCS White Rock Marathon that features a fitness expo along with a marathon, half-marathon, 5 person relay, corporate relay, and a Mayor?s 5k fun run. The race takes place throughout the streets of Dallas and this year will feature a new course. The� White Rock Marathon is put on to help support the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.Theboth of the marathons are starting to come in. The 26.2 mile run would take a supreme runner over 2 hours to complete, and both races will feature some top notched racers. With the weather on the east coast being cold and snowy it is hard to imagine a marathon taking place today. The Las Vegas Marathon and the White Rock Marathon are two long time marathons that will continue to draw in runners from across the country for years to come.
