The next oracle octopus? Seattle elephant seems to pick Huskies in Apple Cup

A Woodland Park Zoo elephant may be the next Paul the oracle octopus ? the cephalopod that correctly predicted Spain's World Cup victory.On Thursday, the zoo presented Chai the Asian elephant with two boxes of apples, one decorated in Cougars' crimson and gray colors and the other in Huskies' purple and gold wrapping. The 31-year-old elephant used her trunk to snatch an apple from the purple and gold box and seemed to pick the winner with a firm bite.But what may be interpreted as a change of heart, the elephant stomped on the UW box after eating all its contents and moved on to the WSU box. Maybe she was just hungry.The zoo says this is the first time it has asked an animal to predict a winner in the cross-state rivalry. Lead elephant keeper Pat Maluy says,
