On Tonight: Lennon Documentary, Alzheimer's Telethon

In "Losing Lennon: Countdown to Murder" (CNN, 8 p.m.) John Roberts returns to his Much Music roots, reporting on the death of the former Beatle in a way that last month's PBS documentary did not, by concentrating fully half of it on the killer Mark David Chapman. Giving him a false equivalency with the slain musician provides and the killer his main wish: fame from his deed. The film ends with fans at Central Park singing (which of course was a McCartney song).Christine Taylor as a jaded journalist (is there any other kind?) trying to disprove Santa in "Farewell Mr. Kringle" (Hallmark, 8 p.m.). Can't we manage to find out the real meaning of Christmas on our own and without such films?Big Time Rush, the made-for-TV pop music group for uncritical tweens hold their own holiday movie: "Big Time Christmas" (Nickelodeon, 8 p.m.) with guest appearances from Snoop Dogg and Miranda Cosgrove. It's followed by the less popular female group School Gyrls and their special, "A Very School Gyrls Holla-Day" (Nickelodeon, 9 p.m.).�But how do you decorate?
